Welcome to the Department of Dialysis at MMC General Hospital, Peshawar—a center dedicated to delivering advanced, compassionate care for patients with kidney disease. Equipped with modern technology and staffed by a team of board-certified nephrologists and trained dialysis technicians, our department provides comprehensive renal replacement therapy for both acute and chronic renal failure. We follow rigorous infection control protocols and individualized treatment plans to deliver care safely and effectively to every patient, including those in critical care.

Facilities of the Dialysis Department
Dialysis Machines:
  • 7 advanced dialysis machines for routine and special cases.

  • 1 machine reserved exclusively for HCV-positive (Hepatitis C) patients to prevent cross-infection.

  • 1 machine dedicated to emergencies, ensuring prompt response for life-threatening situations.

Portable Dialysis Unit:
  • 1 portable dialysis machine enabling bedside dialysis for critically ill patients unable to be moved.

Critical Care Dialysis:
  • Bedside dialysis services available in HDU (High Dependency Unit), and CCU (Coronary Care Unit), providing safe renal support for patients in critical and unstable condition.

Infection Control & Safety:
  • We ensure a safe dialysis environment through strict infection control practices. Proper hand hygiene, equipment sterilization, and use of PPE are strictly followed. These measures protect both patients and healthcare providers.

24/7 Emergency Availability:
  • Round-the-clock dialysis service to meet emergency and urgent patient needs.
